200 YEARS OF OREGON BEER HISTORY
Exhibit Design
This exhibit, located at the Oregon Historical Society, is in the heart of downtown Portland and aims to educate visitors on the vast history of all things Oregon beer. Starting with the early expeditions of Lewis & Clark to the Pacific Northwest, the exhibit takes visitors through the eras of the thriving beer culture in Oregon up until modern day.
I designed and created production-ready artwork for a large portion of this exhibit, and worked closely with one of our Exhibit Designers and Senior Designers at Formations Inc, in order to give visitors a feel for the changing culture of beer in Oregon with a bright color palette and a timeless typographic style.
One of the walls that I designed in the opening area of the exhibit showing some of the earliest breweries in Oregon. The heading is a printed vinyl as well as the textured wood/beer stein background. Layered images are directly printed onto black sintra and falcon board.
I designed this section of the exhibit with the intention of making the viewer feel they are stepping into an old western saloon.
Our shop custom built these weathered windows with historical images of scenes inside of a saloon back mounted to them.
